REVIEWS

In particular Gonzalez, who has many of the more intense scenes, never manages to go overboard or let her energy drop. She also has some of the best facial reactions while other characters are talking. Between her reactions and Crowe's "old man" "get off my lawn" grimaces, it feels like you could watch this play ten times and see something new every time.

..though Gonzalez’ character changes are much more obvious and jarring. Her various speech patterns and accents are astounding as she switches in and out of her characters with alacrity. She is, in two words, beyond compare.

As Tania Del Valle, Maria Gabriela Rosado Gonzalez, a Brown/Trinity Rep MFA acting student, takes her portrayal the farthest into farce, and she does it well as her conciliatory nature gives way to hair-pulling frustration and anger.

And Gonzalez is riotously entertaining as Vanda, especially in her quicksilver changes from patrician countess to gauche and giddy modern Millennial.

Maria Gabriela Rosado González is wonderful in multiple roles: Mrs. Crummels, Belle, and as a party guest at a family celebration.

The women in this cast, even those in minor roles bring plenty of personality and laughs to the story as well. [...] María Gabriela Rosado González doing double duty as Scrooge's fiance' Belle and his less-than-enthusiastic cook.

NNPN/KENNEDY CENTER WORKSHOP

July & October 2020

"We find ourselves in the outskirts - at the back of a city building which signals us to stay away. Slack and Ro and Cameo divulge into monologues, tracing three pasts, a present, while portending a future. A lyrical project netted in kidnap, virtual utopias, border crossing, and Freddy Krueger cosplay."
